  • SSD to Win 2003 R2

I want to put yourself in a server SSD as a system drive.
The question arose whether the fine will operate the device in server Win 2003 R2 STD?
If so, which would require additional settings or actions?
What disk is suitable for use in server 2003?

    ASUS Server
    Model Name: RS120-E4/PA2
OS Product Name: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition
    MB Name: P5M2-R
    BIOS Version: 1004
    System Memory Size: 4096 MB

    it should be fine.

The server OS doesn't recognise what's going on at the physical disk level. At least, not to that extent.

As long as the controller card recognises the disk, and the OS recognises the controller card, it should be fine.

If this is going to be a production server look into purchasing enterprise disks.

The controller will understand exactly. But the 2003 OS does not understand how long it will work without a team TRIM?

And how do they differ from conventional disks?
          Normal disk 500GB worth $ 750-800 and the enterprise disks $ 2000.
