  • NTFS Partition problem

I have two hdd mounted on my system. One is on sata the other on ata. The second one has two ntfs partition. The secon partition is ok and i can access it from windows explorer, but when i try to access it the explorer shuts down. In AdministrativTools/DiskManagement, under the type of partition the field is blank. How can i repair the ntfs file system so i can access that partition without losing data? Thanks.

    Re: NTFS Partition problem

Look into data recovery tools such as OnTrack Easy Recovery ( is your friend here)
But you cannot guarentee to reover all the data

You could try mounting the drive in another PC if you want to

It is mounted on another pc with windows xp installed. I tried it on linux machine and it didn't work. I just need to be able to copy the data on that partition. Rebuilding the partition table is a solution?
