  • Audio very low on computer, wont turn up

For awhile now, I heard no sound out of my computer speakers. I have yet to find a cause to this, seeing as how one day it worked, and the next day it didn't. So I figured that my audio card was fried.

Well one day i was searching through stuff and thought I heard a sound, and come to find out, there actually is audio coming out of the speakers, just very very low. I cannot figure out why its not turning up, or anything.

Have tried 2 separate speaker systems, turning the volume nob up, turning the system volume up (through the computer, by the clock). Have tried re installing the audio drivers. Its a no go. Any suggestions?

Oh, I forgot to say. The Low volume on the speakers isnt affected by the volume nob. I can turn the nob all the way down (usually no volume) and still hear the sound when I hold the speaker to my ear.
