    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_hole

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension

these pages are not saying that it is also for web eddition..

Just want to confirm can do /PAE is it normal..and not gonna make any effect on the server and will I be able to utilize full RAM???

Well We have 5 live web servers running web edition, cannot just move to different OS...

As a workaround I am working on increasing virtual memory.....

it sounds a stupid question but I must ask: can we transfer windows server 2003 web edition to standard edition.. I mean reinstall new OS just OS without formatting any thing....kinda update thing...

I am sure some of u remember those days when we used to over write xp just windows folder instalation..

          any idea?

No, Upgrade is not supported am affraid See here for upgrade paths: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserv...rtedpaths.mspx. Migration could be the only way.

I know it's lousy but I can't change it for you. The only way is to move over to a different OS. You might do this with one step at the time.

You can go for virtual RAM / RAM Booster but itís not recommended in production environment and also not for log run.

Ramesh_hv, you do realise that sami123 was refering to the Web Server Edition not displaying the total RAM installed. Virtualising the Web Server Edition or adding the PAE switch will have no effect what so ever since it is limited to a maximum of 2GB RAM.
