  • Outlook 2003 Meeting request been received by wrong person

    Guys

Basically whats happens is when user "a" sends a meeting request to user "b", user "b" never receives the request but instead user "c" gets it accepts the request and automatically user "b"'s calender is updated.

all users are using outlook 2003 with exchange 2003 sp2

any feedback or help with this one will be greatly appreciated

a2hed - this is a DESIGN FEATURE. User B has set User C to be his "Delegate" for Calendar items. Effectively, User C is User B's PA. If User B goes to Tools, Options, Delegates, he will see User C in the list; if he removes User C, User C will no longer get his meetings.

By the way - why are you hijacking a thread from the Dawn of Time?

          Stonelaughter is right.
We had the same incident. The only way is to check the setting for delegation as Stonelaughter described on all of the mailboxes concerned. (just to be sure).

We even had one user whod had delegated a disabled user....... It took quite some time to figure it out.

          Cheers.

Had this exact same problem before and it also turned out to be down to delegation.
