  • MS word readable format

    when i try to open word format file in MS word (XP/2003), this messege display
    " The word was unable to open encoded file in readable format.
    text encode: 1.windows(default) 2. MS-Dos 3. Other "

    and open it in this way:
    h? ;B t? 6FB ;B h? h? o ? * V;B t?

    what is the problem, how can i get rid of it. Plz reply soon.

    Your file appears to be corrupted. If you search for file repair utilities you may be able to fix it.

    Is it just some files or is it all Word documents on your PC?
    What happens if you create a new document -- is it the same?

      new file are created fine, all old file are crupted.
      any suggested repait tool?
