  • Lock image in place on Word 2003

Is there a way to lock the position of an image and make it un-editable?

We can get the picture where we want it and set the abolute position relative to the page and lock anchor etc etc but this will not stop anyone from accidentally dragging the image to a new position on (or off) the page.

Can images be truly locked in place in Word 2003?

Background watermark is no good as it fades the picture.

Any Word guru's out there know how to do this?

    Thanks!

OK, how about setting up the image the way you want, then adding a form text field for other users to edit text, then protect the document

Long winded, but I have used this with templates with pictures before

      Thanks a lot.

We managed to find another solution which is to create a text box and place the image within it. It seems to work. However, I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind as you never know what will happen once it's let loose on the network

      Cheers!
