    Greetings,

Problem : Excel Document ver.2000 corrupt. Means when i try to open it it only shows me symbols. and effected all the excel document in the whole computer.
all document showing the same symbols.

Cause of Excel Document corrupt : Caused by a virus from a thumb drive. Because
an outsider used my computer to print a document and after that its effecting all my Excel document.

    System:
    -Windows XP Home Edition SP2
    -Microsoft Office 2000 Premium.

    Solutions tried :
    1. i have tried the solutions according to Microsoft's 'Excel Document corrupt recovery.
    2. Using an Excel Viewer software to open the corrupt file.

But non of these solutions works.

    My Question:
-I need to recover the document so i could make a new worksheet because
i dont want to re make all the document that are important.
    - What can i do to counter this problem from happen again?
-What solutions should i use to recover the document?

    Thank You,

Did you copy it anywhere else? even if you deleted it afterwards?
Depending on the time you may be able to recover it from deleted items but I would say 99% sure it is gone.
      cheers
