so what happens after you reinstall the application?

    what drivers are you missing?

    what software are you using?

      Hi, Thanks for the responds

      the following drivers are missing

dBASE Files Microsoft dBASE Driver (*.dbf)
Excel Files Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls)
MS access Data base MS access Data Base Drivers (*.mdb)

If any of this options i click configure it is asking to " Driver not found in the registry please reinstall the driver"

        Re: microsoft ODBC error

what does the screen look like when you run the ODBC data source admin tool? odbcad32.exe is located in the system32 folder or it can be launched from the admin tools menu...

the default tab that is displayed is the User DSN tab. the box should have those drivers listed...

        if not, lets create them.

click 'add' and select 'Driver do Microsoft (*.dbf)' from the list. name the entry 'dBASE Files' and check 'use current directory' then 'OK'...

do the same for the 'Excel Files' and the 'MS Access Database'

that should be it. if it cannot create the User DSN entries, then get back with us...
