  • Word 2003 - Synchronizing changes from a Master template to other documents??

    Hi,

I've been asked whether the following is possible in Word 2003:

Suppose you have a Word document (or form), that you wish to use as a master template, that has numerous fields/textboxes in it.

Then suppose you have say 100 documents that have been created from this master template.

Is it then possible to be able to *link* these sub(?) documents to the master document so that if you later decided to change a field/textbox on the 'master' (ie a typo perhaps), it will then automatically change the same field/textbox in any associated sub documents? Its a good question, and not a scenario i've come across before, and i can't see how you might achieve this.

I'm guessing it involves linking the documents somehow, and specifying text box fields or something. This is assuming the above is even possible?

I have looked around on google, but can't really find anything that helps. Can anyone offer any advice on this please?

    TIA

    Mark
