    Hi ,

We are having a some word and excel files which are very much confidential..

Now , I just wonder that the solution is possible or not..

Is it possible that we can create a lock on those files on time basis that if someone has create a file in Feb 2015 and if we specify that in Mar 2015 , the user will not be able to open it or it may get delete automatically in Mar 2015...

I saw it in some movie that after the message is read from that file it get delete...

    Re: file security

First time I have seen Hollywood referenced for an IT support issue (apart from alien motherships being apple compatible, of course)

I think you are looking at Active Directory Rights Management Services, which (among other things) allows expiry dates for critical files.

Having implemented it before, I have to say an easier solution would be password protection of the relevant files - with the proviso that you and your users must actually REMEMBER the passwords

Another possibility would be to use a document management system instead of a regular file share. I've done this with Alfresco, but you could probably use SharePoint as well.
