  • URL in email wont link to website?

we have a client that has office 2007 on xp, and in his email, he has URL links from other people within the email, and when he clicks on them to take him to the website, he receives an error message "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. please contact your system administrator". is this a security settings issue, or something deeper? thanks everyone.

Hi, here is a thing to try.

Go to Control Panel, Add Remove Programs. Then on the left, choose Program Access and Defaults. Open up whichever configuration is currently selected and change the default web browser selection to something other that what is currently chosen, try internet explorer. Click OK

You could possibly have a GPO blocking it
Maybe this too , although it isn't specifically 2007 (LINK)
      or this (LINK)
