  • Network Printer doesn't work for only one user

    Hi all,
    I didn't know where to classify this so ask here:

    I have a network printer which works for everyone but one person i office.

    I am looking for a cause. Can you help please.

    Sharp MX4112N

    1. Won't send an emails
    2. Wont print

    IP : 10.20.2.23

    Troubleshooting done:
    * Ping machine, - pingable
    * Restart spooler
    * Uninstalled and Installed printer
    * Restarted laptop

    Documents going to the queue but not printing

    * Changed port to IP port
    Documents are not going to queue

    * Powered off printer

    Nothing helped

    I had a guy from company who support printers and he did this:

    Updated firmware on device, changed the SMTP details, checked user could print and scan ok, all users in the office except one lady could print and scan , not a printer issue, issue with user profile.

    Any Ideas?

    Domain or workgroup?
    Workstation operating systems, same or different
    32 or 64bit operating system?
    Are the appropriate drivers installed on the problem machine?
    Can you ping the photocopier from the problem machine?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

      Have you tried a fresh user profile?

              You don't mention permissions - does she have permission to access the printer?

                Is the printer normally connected via a server, or do users map it directly?

                Have you tried disabling firewall and antivirus on the computer that's affected?
                What's different about this computer and other computers ?
