  • Data transfer via Gigabit on secondary LAN Card

    Hi there,
I'm trying to copy 1TB of data from one old server to a NAS. Both machines have Gigabit LAN installed.
The server only has usb 1

The server is our SQL server, currently only one LAN card is connected, is there a way to use the spare LAN card and connect direct to the NAS and copy the data over on that LAN card only?

I dont want 1TB of data going up and down my network if that makes sense

This will be a regular backup process

    Thanks for your advice

    Katie

I have done this using a Drobo Nas. You could use auto ip addressing between the devices (169.?.?.?).
