  • FTP Bind Error

    Hi All,

We are trying to use FTP access via the command line but we are getting an error "Can't assign requested address" when trying to Dir the directory.

Via the gui it is fine but not via the command line, I have seen many posts about it when using an ISA server but no resolution really.

I can get logged on ok via the command line but as soon as try and Dir the folder the error comes up.

Does anyone know if it's possible? We are using ISA 2000 server.

    Many thanks,
    Simon
    Kind Regards,
    Simon

First of all, move away from ISA 2000.
It's a horrible products and besides that it's end of everything already.

    About your issue,
Have you tried issuing the pasv command?
Have you tried using the Firewall Client?

      Hi.

Thanks for your reply. I knew it would be said to get rid which is in the planning just not ready as yet.

I have tried the client and it doesn't seem to make any difference. I haven't tried the pasv command though.

      Will give it a shot.

      Thanks!
