  • wake on LAN from remote subnet

If I like to power on a PC in the remote subnet (no active pc's available in this subnet). How can I achieve this? All my L2/L3 devices are from Cisco.

Re: wake on LAN from remote subnet

Your pc's network card needs to support the feature. You also need to enable directed broadcasts if the pc is on a remote subnet. (Directed broadcasts are used in DOS and smurf attacks, so filter it to a specific pc)
