  • Network a printer with two laptops

I have two laptops that use their own verizon air cards to connect to the internet.

They are both windows xp professional machines, I would like to hook a printer up to one of the laptops and somehow network the laptops together so I can share the printer.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks ahead of time

IMHO get a router (you can get ones that accept a 3G dongle) and workgroup them together, then use standard sharing

At the moment (if I read you right) they are each connecting to the internet so would never see each other

You could look at remote access solutions such as LogMeIn and see if they offer something

Do you think Ad-Hoc or a crossover ethernet cable could be as effective?

and yes you are reading right, both connect to the internet independently.
