cant connect to network

  • cant connect to network

    main server

    dsl -> router -> server (2003)
    nic 1 (connected to router) - 192.168.1.150
    nic 2 (connected to switch) - 192.168.10.200

    on router - pptp server enabled
    username/password defined
    ip range defined

    all working fine


    on my remote pc
    dsl modem-> pc

    remote pc can connect to the main server using username/password defined in pptp server
    remote pc can ping the server - 192.168.1.150
    remote pc ip address is 192.168.1.200

    my problem is after connecting i can browse the server

    if i use \\192.168.1.150 from the remote - gives cant connect to network
    if i use \\192.168.1.150 from the server - it works fine

    Is it real work environment or any packet tracer problems ?

        As your remote PC appears to have the same IP as the internal server NiC, I'm not really surprised you have some sort of problem -- try changing that first and report back

        Also give and IPCONFIG/ALL from both server and remote PC

          ur right! i missed that setting.... same ip indeed... after changing the assingned ip for the client all worked fine...
