  • TMG Two LAN NIC's

    Hi All,

I know in TMG you can load balance or ISP failover on external interface using two NIC's.

However we cannot afford two TMG servers, we have a network topology that has a Distrubution Layer of switches (2x L3) that feeds the Access Layer Switches (x2 L2). (Our TMG server has 6 NIC's)

Is it possible to have a Cat5e one of each from the Distrubution Switches in to TMG but not load balance, just for failover should one-off the Dist Switches dies?

I am aware the single point of failure is the TMG Server itself.

See Diagram in bold GREEN cables for example. Attachment
(Diagram Notes: STP = Shielded Twisted Pair. Not Spanning Tree)

    Kind regards
