  • Load balancing between private and public WAN

    Can we load balance between a private WAN line and a public WAN line such as internet? If yes, do we need any additional devices to load balance it or a router would be able to load balance between this two lines?

    Load balancing is certainly possible, but not out of the box. As if it will do any good depends on which routes are reachable through the interfaces.

    You need either an embedded device (like load balancing firewall), a *Nix box with LARTC or Windows Server 2008 RTM/R2 and Forefront Threat Management Gateway + ISP redundancy mode.
