  • SSH Tectia Client - Keyboard Shorcut?

    Hi,

Anyone has an experience with SSH Tectia Client. I notice that we cannot use "Home" button at the keyboard to move to the first line. But we can use:

Ctrl + A to move to the first line
Ctrl + E to move to the end line

Question is how to move between word to word? In other application such as Ms Word, notepad or whatever text editor, we can use Ctrl + Arrow to move between word to word.

Your help in this matter would be highly appreciate.
    Thanks

Moving on the command line is not a SSH feature but shell feature. Which one are you using?

If Alt is mapped as the meta key, alt+f and alt+b will move a word. This won't work in most of Windows SSH clients, as alt+f opens the file menu. Sometimes esc+f/esc+b will work though.

yep - as von pryz said - it's shell based - the tool you use is irelevant

you can also try cntrl-left and cntrl-right, in addition to the ones already suggested.

(incidently, ctl-left and cntl-right will shift words in a dos command prompt too)
