  • Network Diagram?

    Hi All,

I have been tasked to create a network diagram for one of our clients. The thing is that the client is geographically remote and I have only remote access to their server. I am struggling to think about a way to get their network picture using only their server and create the network diagram but my mind doesnt seems to come up with any good solutions. Any ideas will be of great help?

    Thanks All.

If they have Active Directory and you have Visio you can use Active Directory Topology Diagrammer which is a free download. It'll work over a VPN, I've done that in the past.

As for mapping the network equipment, if it's Cisco based you can use the CDP command to see how the equipment is connected.
