  • If a NLB member goes down

    Hello,

I am reading this article ( http://www.msexchange.org/articles-t...ogy-part1.html ), and within it, I read:

"...it reduces downtime caused by a malfunctioning server as the end-users will never know that a particular member server in the Windows NLB is or has been down..."

But, just one moment ago, I read in another article that if the node goes down, you will have to reconnect, as opposed to in a Failover solution, where the user may just see a delay , but does not have to reconnect.

I am studying NLB and am confused by those two statements.

As little as I knew myself, the session (say, OWA), ended and you had to reconnect.

    Thanks in advance.
