  • remember my password on XP

    hi,
I am connecting to a file server from xp client. let say server ip 192.168.0.10. so I just went to run and typing \\192.168.0.10 and , i selected the Remember my password.

but I dont want to keep password to accessing that server for next time, ets say i have several different user permission.

although i restart and pc , the password is still keeping and never ask for it again. how can I get rid of it ask previous setting?

    thanks

Go into Control Panel - Users & Passwords -- somewhere in there (may have to click an advanced button) there is a list of cached passwords so you can remove it

      1. Click Start and select Run
      2. In the Open field type "rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, KRShowKeyMgr"
      3. Once the Stored Usernames and Passwords interface opens you can select any of the entries and select Properties to view the existing information
      4. To remove a saved password you can select one of the entries and select Remove. A confirmation screen will appear. Click on OK and the account will be removed
