  • No internet connection only through wireless computers

    Hello,
    I have a new a configuration.
I added a router as switch to my primary router.
There is no internet access when using wireless connection.
Please look at the exact diagram I made.

    Thanks.

    edit:
I reset my router and disabled the mac filtering (was needed for fixed ip before I had the server).
    Now it works, very strange!

Re: No internet connection only through wireless computers

I've run into a few SOHO wireless routers that don't pass DHCP traffic to the wireless devices unless the wireless router is the DHCP server.

    Options:

    - Move DHCP from the AD server to the router
    or
    - Buy a wireless access point to provide wifi connectivity and disable wifi on the router

The wireless computer gets DHCP settings but can't ping the main router.
Anyway I removed the 2nd router that was configured as switch but I still can't pint the main router.
      What shall I do?

Please post IP address, subnet mask, and gateway from main router, wireless computer that can't contact main router, and wired computer that can contact router.
