  • Need to solve local access only in Vista and Windows 7

We need to solve the local access only issue in Vista and windows 7. Users are able to browse the internet and carry out all networking activities but the network card would still say local only access and it has an X to the internet.
What could be the issue and how can i solve this.
For your info users are connecting to the internet using ISA proxy server. The default gateway is pointing to an interface vlan on the core switch.

How are the machines getting their IP addresses?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

Since they are using ISA server, this may be expected -- the client never directly accesses the web, it always sends the request to the proxy
IMHO, if everything is working, leave it well alone
