  • Shut off internet, but still allow (MPLS) site-to-site access?

I have a client with 2 offices connected to the main office via an MPLS link. The main office is the only one with an internet connection and everything network related goes through the MPLS link. Satellite offices use Citrix for everything since there is only 768k going to each office.

I get complaints that the system is slow, I look and I see internet traffic to the satellite offices. I tell them to stop, the system speeds up and all is well for about 2 weeks when the process repeats.

Trying to find the cleanest way to shut down internet to the satellite offices but not mess up the MPLS link. Obviously can't kill the gateway and need DNS for network services.

Anyone have something that can be rolled out via a GPO or something to shut down just their internet access?

If you want to completely kill internet access roll out a non-existant proxy via GPO and deny users access to the connections tab in IE. This of course assumes all your users use IE.
