  • Inernet Gateway software

    Can anydody tell about a internet gateway software .My purpose

    I need to get internet via default gateway .I want to manage users through HTML authentication.I need to block web sites .I need to monitor the internet traffic( http,https,ftp ) in all PCs in the network .I tried Sygate software which unfortunately does not have an option to block websites and HTML authentication

    .I tried wingate proxy .It's also not good enough.Please help

    I'm no ISA genius but I sure it can do all that or websense (Formally Surf Control)

      What's the use of HTML authentication if you can use integrated authentication when you want outbound traffic?
      For inbound ISA can easily do forum based authentication.
      Blocking websites, no problem with ISA, dough you have to manually add each website which should be blocked.

        Of course, IPCop (with its myriad of plug-ins) and ClarkConnect could probably do all of that for you... if you want to get into that whole "Linux thing"

          WatchGuard WebBlocker does all that but you need a WatchGuard firewall.

            Clark Connect is configured more with a GUI and not a CLI, so point and click is an easy option. Also, Clark Connect runs quite nicely in MS Virtual PC. (Not tried Virtual Server yet)
