  • Broadcom 5708c NextExtreme II NIC

Built-in card to motherboard on a Dell Server (2900) running Windows 2008 Server Standard (x64). Connected to a Dell 3448 switch on the GB port. We have another server also connected to another GB port on the same switch. The new 2900 server will only achieve 100 mbs speed and not 1 GB as the other server does. The other server uses an Intel NIC.
Have called Dell and they want me to uninstall the drivers and re-install and also disable TOE. I did that but no no avail.

Have you tried a different port? I had a Dell PE2950 GB NIC go to 100Mbps last week and after troubleshooting it, it turned out to be the switch port (Dell PC5224).
