Personally I've had no problems with Netgear Prosafe's
They do a couple of very nice ADSL/Cable models, with or without wireless, and their VPN wizard makes setup very easy

But what are the current firewalls?
It's quite possible that the current firewalls already have VPN capability.

The company I work for specialises in this exact model. Multi site & franchising. Most of our clients have a minimum of 4 sites with the max being 51.

We use private Wan ip networks, so there is no need for ipsec, vpn's, encryption or such that slows the packets down. Your offices are not detectable by the outside world & public internet.

Pretty much every ISP offers it now. Here are some links of isps that do it here so you can read more.

The VPN itself is done by the ISP.

You can easily build your own VPN without buying MPLS connections.
A simple SDSL or ADSL can be enough.

So that from point to point, every WAN connection is located within a private network.

You can easily build your own VPN without buying MPLS connections.
But do you end up with a public ip address or private on the Wan side? I realise anyone can build vpn's from point to point, but in most cases the Wan ip at the branch office is a public ip e.g. 210.70.50.45 as opposed to 172.16.15.5. etc.

With regular DSL your wan address is of course public but I think MPLS connections are more expensive?
I've seen those constructions before and yes it works kinda great but over here they are rather expensive.
