  • Unable to ping / tracert servers on the internet [was:I have a problem]

    hello every body
    I have a problem ,i can"t ping , pathping ,tracert to any server on the internet (eventhough i can browse the internet) i can do that from my isa serer but not form any other pc from my line
    when i do tracert sys to google.com i get :unable to resolve target system name google.com
    can anybody help pls ?

    Have you allowed ICMP to the internet from internal?

        will DNS forwarders will help in this problem??

        is this AD enviroment???
        have you tried nslookup...

              Looks like you have some issues with DNS server not ICMP protocol. From a workstation behind the ISA Server try : Start -> run -> cmd /k nslookup www.google.com and post the results here

                this is AD enviroment and the rusult og nslookup is :

                Server: XXXXX.YYYYYYY.dom
                Address: 172.30.2.23
                DNS request timed out.
                timeout was 2 seconds.


                the trace route result is :
                Tracing route to google.com [72.14.207.99]

                over a maximum of 30 hops:



                1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms router.YYYYYYY.dom [172.23.255.1]

                2 router.YYYYYYY.dom [172.23.255.1] reports: Destination host unreachable.
