Is there way to find out bandwidth supported by cables.
I have lot of cables in front of me and i want to check that either these cables support 10 or 100 or I gbps data speed. They all are straight as I figured out from pin configuration but since there is no labeling or writing on cable that could tell me that the cable is cat3/5/7. I want to check how much data speed these cables can support

    Re: network cables

It should be written on the cable itself, usually in black. (EIA/TIA 586 etc)

      Re: network cables

The category of the cable is normally stamped on the physical cable eg, CAT 5

What information is on the cable that you have?
