  • DNS Responsible Person ??

Does anyone see problems with setting a distribution group as the DNS responsible person/administrative contact for a domain?

I thought it would be easier to manage on our end, instead of updating our domain information each time an administrator leaves.

It makes sense to me, something like [email protected] or [email protected], etc., etc.

...........except when you have to reply from that address, but that is an increasingly rare requirement.

Also I would make the address on a different domain than what it is responsible for. If you need to regain access to the control panel, because email is down, and you forgot the password, the password reset goes to your email which is down. A wonderful catch-22.

      Otherwise its a good idea.
