  • VPN server on server 2003

    hi all!
i deploy vpn server on server 2003, i didn't do any changes to security options(authentication, encryption) all of them stay default. i made vpn dialer from other network, trying to connect error 691 or 721. i didn't use remote access policy, in Active Directory in the dial-in user properties checked allow remote access.
any tips what can be problem?

What firewall are you using in front of the 2003 server is it configured to allow gre traffic and tcp port 1723 through firewall???, and is 1723 nat'ed back to nic on 2003 server.

thats for a pptp vpn connection, l2tp uses diferent ports 4500 udp, 50 udp and ip protocol 51.
