  • How to speed up ethernet detecting time.

    Hi!. Everyone.

    I need your help.
I want to speed up Ethernet detecting time.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Using O/S: Windows XP (Sp1)
Using Ethernet controller: Intel 82562E (Integrated Ethernet).
    IP mode: DHCP.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Normally, the detecting time is 1min 30sec.
BTW, if I enter "ipconfig.exe /renew" command via command windows by manually, the detecting time is 1min 10sec.

    Q1. What is a differnece normally and "ipconfig.exe /renew"?
Q2. How to set up "ipconfig.exe /renew" automatic execution on booting?
Q3. Please let us know related registry?

If you have same experience, please let us know some information.
    Have a nice day.
    Thanks.

This could be caused by a DNS problem. If you system on a network or is it a home system connected to a router/modem (internet)? Where is it getting it's IP from?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

      Hello. Biggles77.
      Thanks for your quickly reply.
I used this system on network from router.
The LAN cable length is arround 80m.
It is long length. btw, it is under Ethernet specification.

Only ethernet detecting time is so slow.
The data transfer speed is good.

      Please help me.
      Thanks.
