  • Urgent help needed with TCPIP problem

    Running XP - Pro

    Downloaded P2P software from downloads.com and installed.
    Did not like what I saw and uninstalled

    IP address and DHCP etc now reverts to 169... etc domain.
    Cant get rid of it, even with netsh and changing registry keys

    Am working on client site using DHCP

    Any suggestions??

    Did you try rolling back to a previous System Restore point?

        what software did you download?? (so we can all stay away, and so I can do some experiments with it).

          try physically removing the NIC, restart, shutdown and then reinstall it.

            Try reinstalling TCP/IP
