  • alcatel Home, PROed, Bridged, non reachable

    Hi,

I followed the detailed tutorials at this site, very nice work.
all is working good, I have my Alcatel modem as a Bridge.
a Router does the dialing, and NAT, ppoE
only now I cannot reach the modem from the NAT IPs...
how can I reach the Alcatel from my NAT IPs ?
should I give it an IP from my NAT subnet (such as 192.168.100)
and have that IP static routed to 10.0.0.138 from my router ?

    Thanks.
    Nir

trying to ping the bridged Modem from any of the PCs results in a timeout.
Other than that, I have internet on all pcs and ping to therouter

It seems that your router blocks pings to or ICMP echo(reply).
          Please check the router configuration.
Can you ping something outside your network?
Try telneting to the router and ping the modem, see if you get answer.
