  • SpeedTouch 530 w/ latest firmware & RealVNC

    Hello all,

I'm trying to open a realVNC server session for remote administration, to the machine 10.0.0.1 that is behind a ST530 router. I have specified in NAT the tcp 5900 port to be accessible by any WAN IP address.

Pinging the machine from the Intenet is disabled by router's firewall (by default, i think).

i am not sure if this is also required by RealVNC, in order to establish a connection.

I have also tested it via http://www.gotomyvnc.com/ and it says 'service available for display '0', which sounds fine.

Do I have to enable ICMP too?

    Has anyone tested this?

i would appreciate any advice, without having to disable firewall entirely.

    Thank you in advance.

    Cheers
