  • Broadband Connection Speed

In the "Tweaking Tips & Tricks" section <Increase Broadband Connection Speed in Windows XP/2003>, I am at a loss to find the requisites with which to modify my system.

I am attaching a <sysinfo.jpg> file for someone to help me identify which is the IRQ that I should be looking for, in order to carry out the modification.

After 15 years of dial-up, I've only very recently gone over to ADSL, and it is new technology for me. The only other connection detail I can give is that I am using a BiPAC 7300A modem which has an Ethernet connection to the PC.

    Any help would be appreciated.

PS. Tried uploading that 'jpg' file 3 times but I cannot see where the attachment is.

      Re: Broadband Connection Speed

Sure did but nothing seemed to happen although the mouse turned into an "hourglass", Task Manager was showing nil activity in the 'Networking" tab.

The pic is only 82K, which is well within tolerance. Otherwise, my connection seems to be working fine.

Where, in the posting, does the attachment appear

      Thanks.

True but if you don't specify a place in the body it will just show up at the end. (see below)

nospmas1939, if you're unable to upload a screen shot, could you just type out a list then?

                Re: Broadband Connection Speed

Thank you ever so much!!!! I finally 'tweaked' the connection.

Sorry it took so much and so long. BTW, there must be something wrong with my I.E. ver 6 and Firefox ver 2.0.0.2 because I could not upload another small <jpg> file to the Yahoo! Support Techs. Must look into this.

                Again........thanks very much.
