  • make a specific ip ( static ) in speedtouch 510

i wanna make a specific ip as static in my network not all ip's
i can do it from the gui
dhcp => dhcp server => server leases then :
i put the mac address for the specified ip then make it lock to have an infinite TTL
but when i do this all the pc's on the network is being static .
    but the problem is :
    in my network i have 3 pc's etc : (10.0.0.1 , 10.0.0.2 , 10.0.0.3 )
all i want to do is to make the ( 10.0.0.1 ) has a static ip to be able to wake it up from outside can i do this ?

You would configure the COMPUTER to have a static IP, then forward the WOL port to that IP.

Make sure the static IP is OUTSIDE your DHCP range.

Re: make a specific ip ( static ) in speedtouch 510

If you give the computer 10.0.0.10, and the DHCP range is from 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.20, and DHCP attempts to assign a computer 10.0.0.10, neither computer will be able to get on. This is why static IPs should be outside the range of the DHCP IP range.

In the manual, section 4.6.5 it tells you about how to configure the DHCP IP range.

The manual is available here http://www.speedtouchdsl.com/pdf/Man..._UserGuide.pdf
