  • SpeedTouch 530v problem

    Hi everyone.

I have speedtouch alcatel 530v working in routing mode. I can't enable it to accept RDP protocol (port 3389). I have diseabled it's firewall, and there is no firewall in internal network that could stop RDP. I have created NAPT entry that states like this
"inside address=10.0.0.1 (PC that is enabled for RDP),"
    "inside port=3389,"
    "external address=0.0.0.0,"
    "external port=3389"!

It works when 530v is in bridge mode, but it is no suitable for me....

Does anybody have any ideas... cause i don't have them any more... tnx

Post me a link to the manual (in this thread) and I will have a read of it and see what I can discover.
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

Kojo, I haven't forgotten about you, sorry but I've just been a tad busy lately.

In the meantime I hope you have re-enabled the firewall.

The manual is pretty annoying to use without an actual device to try things on. However I did find a link (and you should have found it as well) on how to setup Port Forwarding on this device. http://www.speedtouch.net.nz/PCanywhere.htm (substitute 5631 with 3389) See if that works. However if you have done a lot of playing around with it, you may need to reset to Factory Default to undo any stuff ups made.

Remember, you do any of the above AT YOUR OWN RISK.

            Re: SpeedTouch 530v problem

hey biggles....i have found solution.... firewall is on line again offcourse hehehe...
the problem was remote computer and firewall on other network which I have used to control my PC. I took Admin pass from network administrator and configured ISA to let thru appropriate traffic. I don't work in that company any more, so I don't care anz more. From my new workplace works just fine (I am network admin now ).
