  • Cisco 877 Remote Access VPN Basic Config

    Hi all,

I am new to the above routers as I have allways used Cisco PIX and now ASA Firewalls in the past and am quite comfortable with them but I now have some clients who have some 877s' and need to get up to scratch with them.

I can get them to connect to the internet and forward traffic to inside hosts without problems but I cannot get the remote access VPN part working.

Can someone post a basic guide for setting up a router as the VPN server using local Authentication.

    Many thanks,

Why not just use the SDM to configure it. It walks you through a wizard etc.

I tried using the CCP Wizzard but it did not work. I tried connecting using my laptop with the Cisco VPN Client (v5) and I get no response at all..

I thought if I can learn using the CLI, I would be better off in the long run.

      Cheers,

This link may help you out. Just disregard the radius part.
