  • Vpn Client 429 error

    Hello

I have a Cisco ASA firewall configured to allow VPN clients. It works, but i have little problem with connecting via wifi.

I have a laptop that can connect via cable, but i get an error 429 when only connected via wifi.

"Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client.
Reason 429: Unable to resolve server adress."

This might seem like a DNS problem, but why is then working with cable connection?

have a look at the DHCP scope settings being porovided to the wireless clients, compare them to those being provided by the wired network.

Can you tell me where to do this? I can't find any DHCP scope settings in the Cisco ASDM.

      Which menu is this?

        Re: Vpn Client 429 error

it may not be on the cisco device.

from the wireless client, run the commnad:
        ipconfig /all
you should get output this like:

        DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes

        DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.x.y.z
Please note - I have cut large parts of this out.

You then need to look at what device tyhat "DHCP Server" is, and look at the DHCP Settings on there.

I don't know what it is.. so can't tell you much more than that

The wifi client is pointing to the domain dhcp and dns server. There are no settings that could interfere with the wifi client. Cable works.

          I dont understand this
