  • routing to external IP

Fairly inexperienced to the Cisco world and hoping someone can help me.

I had a server from Company B housed in my network(Company A). It was assigned one of my external IP addresses.

This server has now gone to company A and has now been assigned one of their external ip addresses. I would like any requests for this server to be redirected to its external IP from company A.

Am I right in thinking that this command will do it? I have a Cisco PIX 515e

access-list acl-outside permit TCP host Company A host Company B

    Thanks

    Re: routing to external IP

Are these companys connected via a wan circuit? If so on your side just put a static route in place.

route outside "remote server ip" 255.255.255.255 "your next hop ip address"

The acl will allow internal traffic to the remote server but without a route it wont work.
