  • Cisco ASA VPN SQL cant connect

I have a site to site VPN between two Cisco ASA's. I have a MS SQL server on the far end and I'm trying to connect an application to it from the near end. I can ping the server and connect via RDP. I've tried to connect with the Enterprise Manager and with telnet (telnet server 1433) and cannot. I've also turned of the sqlnet inspection and that didn't change anything either.

Any ideas? I'm sure running out...

    Thanks.

sqlnet has nothing to do with mssql (yes confusing)

do you have port 1433 open between the two sites?

the only access list applied to the VPN tunnel is the following. Am I incorrect to say that this allows all traffic?

      access-list outside_1_cryptomap extended permit ip 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

I figured it out. With some help admittedly. It was a routing issue on the remote LAN.
