    Hi guys,

I was wondering what is the proper way to shutting down cisco firewall. In windows and linux box we have shutdown command but not in this box.
Your advice in this matter would be most appreciated.

Use the power switch... and for rebooting use the reload command

Thanks for your reply. Just simple like that? No need to do anything. I mean no command involved in this? Just turn off the switch.

Dumber is right. I know it's scary, but most network devices are appliances with embedded operating systems and don't have a 'shutdown routine'.
