  • reload config from text file

Hi I am wanting to upload an old config onto my cisco asa 5510.

I was planning on resetting the asa back to defaults and then coping the contents of the text file I have of the old config file using the steps in the article below.
    http://www.itsyourip.com/cisco/how-t...hyperterminal/

Will this work and would there be any issues not stated

    Thanks
    Neil

Re: reload config from text file

    Slightly different but try this:
    http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf...-configure.pdf

To be honest I don't do it quite that way myself, I write the config in a text file and paste it in using putty but the results are pretty similar. You can get plenty of free tftp servers too.
    cheers
    Andy
