  • Alias command (to overcome no split-dns)

    Hi guys,

I have a xxx.domain.com which points to a server INSIDE my network.

Obviously it won't connect internally (we do not run split dns). I've seen that the alias command could be a work around this so I can access the xxx.domain.com from inside my network.

    Any tips?

    Oh.. i'm running a pix 501.

If creating for you domain then add an A record to your DNS server
If for a different domain then you have to creat a lookup zone and add then add an A record.

Hmm, that doesn't work too well. Infact one of the commands send ALL traffic to the exchange server which simply isn't right

Any more tips on how to set this up with minimal problems?

          Thanks.
