  • Router stuck in Router(boot)

I am not sure what to do. I have my router at work stuck in Router(boot)> any help would be greatly appreciated. I have done some research online and verified conf reg is 0x2102, there is an IOS and there is a system flash that appears when doing show flash. I'm not sure what else to do from here. Thanks in advance.

    Re: Router stuck in Router(boot)

Have you try to boot into a recovery mode? (ROMMON)?
    1. Connect your laptop to a console port of the router
    2. turn the router back on.
    3. as it booting, send a break command from your keyboard.
    * It should put you into a ROMMON.
You can change the register code in config file to 2102
    > config-register 0x2101
This will ignore the NVRAM config file when you reboot the router.

Once the router is reboot and you in the global config. you can do a copy startup-config running-config

    Give that a shot.
