  • ADTRAN To Cisco Switch VLAN Tagging

Good day. I just installed a TA5000 EFM SHDSL and NetVanta 834 modems. The TA5000 is connected via fiber to a Cisco 4507 and configured as a TRUNK with DOT1Q encapsulation. From the Cisco, I can ping the TA5000 as well as the NetVanta 834 management ports. At the distant end I have a NetVanta 834 attached to a Cisco 3750 switch which I also configured for TRUNK with DOT1Q however, I'm not able to ping the Cisco 3750 switches management port or anything else.

The NetVanta 834 has three VLANs EVC's and MAP's to pass three VLANs to the Cisco 3750; however, I can't get anything to pass.

    On the TA5000 I have three EVC's created -

    system-management-evc
    s-tag 2010
    connect men-port default-ethernet
    connect men-port gigabit-ethernet 1/A/1
    !
    ip address 192.168.248.194 255.255.255.192
    !
    evc "Data"
    s-tag 251
    connect men-port gigabit-ethernet 1/A/1
    connect men-port efm-group 1/1/1
    connect men-port efm-group 1/1/2
    mac-switched
    no shutdown
    !
    !
    evc "Printers"
    s-tag 250
    connect men-port gigabit-ethernet 1/A/1
    connect men-port efm-group 1/1/1
    connect men-port efm-group 1/1/2
    mac-switched
    no shutdown

    evc "Management"
    s-tag 132
    connect men-port gigabit-ethernet 1/A/1
    connect men-port efm-group 1/1/1
    connect men-port efm-group 1/1/2
    mac-switched
    no shutdown

On the NetVanta 834 I have the following -

    interface efm-group 1/0/1
    subtended-host mode listener
    no shutdown

    evc Data
description Data EVC for VLAN 251
    s-tag 251
    connect men-port efm-group 1/0/1
    no shutdown

    evc Printers
description Printer EVC for VLAN 250
    s-tag 250
    connect men-port efm-group 1/0/1
    no shutdown

    evc Mgmt
description Management EVC for VLAN 132
    s-tag 132
    connect men-port efm-group 1/0/1
    no shutdown

    evc-map DataMap
    description Data Map
    connect uni ethernet 1/0/1
    connect evc Data
    no shutdown

    evc-map PrinterMap
    description Printer Map
    connect uni ethernet 1/0/1
    connect evc Printers
    no shutdown

    evc-map MgmtMap
    description Management Map
    connect uni ethernet 1/0/1
    connect evc Mgmt
    no shutdown

With this configuration Nothing works. Does anyone have suggestions on how to pass traffic over this system from the C4507 to the C3750?

    HELP!
